Tariff Statements
August 8, 2025
Dear Draper Dealer,
Tariffs and their impact on both imported and domestic goods continue to evolve and shape the economic landscape. This has created sustained cost pressures across our industry-especially on aluminum, steel, and other key components. Our response to this challenge has been guided by our core values of solid and partnership.
solid: We've been able to hold the line on pricing throughout the year, even as material costs have risen. That stability is the result of strategic inventory planning, our commitment to U.S. manufacturing, and the strength of our supply chain.
partnership: We remain committed to transparency, reliability, and long-term relationships. As market conditions continue to shift, we want to keep you informed and give you time to prepare.
The sustained cost increases, even from U.S.-based suppliers, have reached a point where a pricing adjustment is necessary. Effective September 8, 2025, pricing will increase for most products. For specific details about how these changes affect your pricing, please contact your Draper sales representative.
We're here to support your business and help you navigate these changes with confidence. If you have any questions or need assistance with quoting, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Sincerely,
Lee Denhart
VP of Sales

The impact of tariffs is increasing in the American marketplace.
Change and uncertainty seem to be the order of the day.
-
At this time, Draper is NOT increasing
prices and is NOT imposing surcharges. Our
January 2025 price lists are still in effect without
surcharges.
-
If you have a Draper quotation which has not expired,
we will honor it.
-
If you request a quotation from Draper today, prices
will be valid for one‐year from the date the quote is
issued for most products. For AV version, quotations issued
after May 13, 2025 will expire on December 31, 2025
-
We are working with our suppliers and partners to control
our costs. If we do find it is necessary to increase our
prices or apply surcharges, we will give you fair notice.
-
You can still count on us for product availability, quality,
innovation, and industry‐best lead times.
The Draper Core Values include two that are especially
important today: solid and partnership.
solid: Draper is a five‐generation
family‐owned company with a deeply held commitment to
manufacturing in the USA. We are on a solid financial footing.
We have 500,000 square feet of manufacturing space and over 700
employees, and we are still investing in our equipment and our
workforce. We have worked through the Great Depression and the
COVID 19 pandemic without employee layoffs. Draper is prepared
for difficult times and takes the long view.
partnership: We value our relationships with
customers, suppliers, and employees. We are here for you. Our
supply chain is strong—we work tirelessly with our
suppliers to prevent delays. We have strong relationships with
many US suppliers.
The new tariffs are leading to some cost increases for us,
primarily on aluminum, steel and some other components. At this
time, we are continuing to absorb those increases and support
our customers.
Thank you for trusting Draper. We remain committed to supporting
your business with high‐quality products and dependable
service.
If you have any questions,
please don't hesitate to reach out.
Sincerely,

In view of the uncertainty on tariffs, we want to let you know
what Draper is NOT doing.
As you know, some of our competitors have moved their
manufacturing outside the US. Draper is committed to USA
manufacturing. We have been manufacturing our products in our
Hoosier hometown of Spiceland, Indiana, since 1902. We continue
to invest in our facilities and equipment: we now have 500,000
square feet of manufacturing space at our Indiana headquarters.
Our supply chain is strong ‐ we work tirelessly with our
suppliers to prevent delays.
The new tariffs are leading to some cost increases for us,
primarily on aluminum, steel and some other components. We are
absorbing those increases for the present.
What this means for you:
-
We are NOT implementing any price increases at this
time.
- All of our price lists that took effect in January 2025
are still valid.
-
We will honor all quotes through stated expiration date.
-
You can still count on us for product availability, quality,
innovation, and industry-best lead times.
Thank you for trusting Draper. We remain committed to
supporting your business with high‐quality products and
dependable service.
If you have any questions,
please don't hesitate to reach out.
