FlexShade ZIP XL with Solar Panel offers energy-efficient automation in a plug-and-play system with a quiet DC motor, solar panel, and built-in battery. No line voltage is required, making it ideal for new construction, retrofits, and remote sites. As the largest ZIP shade in the line, cradle support helps keep the shade stable at wider widths. Smart power management allows charging in low light, while adjustable wings help position the panel for better sun exposure. ZIP retention secures fabric within side channels, while an integrated obstacle-detection motor stops and reverses when needed to help protect the shade. Add Bond Bridge Pro for smart home or radio control and Bond Breeze Pro for automated weather response.

  • ZIP 127 headbox; 5″ h, available in angled or curved styles.
  • Integrated motor, battery, and solar panel; pre‑wired for quick setup.
  • Battery housed in the solar panel, not the shade roller.
  • Low-light charging; up to 35 days of standard use.
  • Quiet operation with soft start and soft stop.
  • Obstacle detection motor stops and reverses when an obstruction is detected.
  • Compatible with Bond Bridge Pro and Breeze Pro wind, rain, and sunlight sensors.
  • Side channels mount to face or jamb; slim 1-5/8″ w profile.
  • Continuous-coil zipper retention system secures fabric within side channels.
